All I Do - Stevie Wonder

"All I Do (Is Think About You)"

Stevie Wonder
Written by: Stevie Wonder (music & lyrics), Stevie Wonder, Clarence Paul, Morris Broadnax
Hotter than July (September 1980)

Yes, all i do is think about this song. I've been singing it since wednesday! When I have nothing to do or, maybe bored, I unconsciously sing it. then, I'm like, "okay, I'm singing it again." Ah well, it's a good song. Catchy too. Why do you think it got stuck in my head in the first place?

But, then again, not everyone thinks it's that good of a song, which brings me to yesterday's event. Our Graduation Ball. haha. It was a bad decision making me and Geneveive the organizers of the event, and more importantly the music... We both like, ehem, mga nilumaan nga kanta... it's a good thing Thomas has his Ipod... aaah, this calls for one whole new blog entry. lol

Anyway, back to the song... again the song was sung and composed by Stevie Wonder, first released in his album Hotter Than July back in 1980, and also in his 1999 album, At The Close Of a Century (well of course it is! there's like 4 CD's in this album!)
You made my soul a burning fire
You’re getting to be my one desire
You’re getting to be all that matters to me
And let me tell you girl
I hope and pray each day I live
A little more love I’ll have to give
A little more love that’s devoted and true
’cause all I do is think about you

Edge of Seventeen - Stevie Nicks

"Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the White Winged Dove)

Stevie Nicks
Written by: Stevie Nicks
Bella Donna (1981)

There's more than just one song playing in my head right now, and Stevie Nicks is one of them... haha, yes two VERY different genres... ah well, I like them both equally.
I don't know why but somehow, I can't wait to be seventeen, because I just said to myself this will be the first song I'll be singing on my birthday...lol. Wait, should I be singing it, nearing 17, when i'm 17 or when i'm about to turn 18?? ...Edge of seventeen.. hmm...

This song came from her 1981 album, Bella Donna, and well.. she wrote the song herself, like most rockers do... She reminds me of Janis Joplin, but i'm not really sure if I should be comparing the two.

Just like the white winged dove...
Sings a song...
Sounds like she's singing...
Whoo... whoo... whoo...
Just like the white winged dove...
Sings a song...
Sounds like she's singing...
Ooo baby... ooo... said ooo

Until You Come Back To Me - Aretha Franklin

"Until You Come Back to Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do)

Aretha Franklin (Cover, Original by Stevie Wonder)
Let Me In Your Life (1973)

I've heard this before, but hearing Katharine McPhee sing it was sooo fantastic, I downloaded it instantly, and it has never left my playlist, both in my PC and my head.

It's a really great song, and although it did reach number 1 in the charts, I'm surprised that it's not one of the more popular Aretha songs. I mean, I barely hear it play during any Aretha tribute performances nor have I seen it in any karaoke/videoke lists, which kinda sucks. I really like singing this song.

Lyric-wise, it's a pretty desperate song though.

Giving me the cold shoulder? Won't pay any attention to me? I WILL ANNOY YOU BY MAKING NOISES OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSE UNTIL YOU DO! hahaha, but if you don't try to think of it that way, it's an awesome song. :D

Though you don't call any more
I sit and wait in vain I guess
I'll rap on your door (your door)

Tap on your window pane (tap on your window pane)
I wanna tell ya baby, changes I've been goin' through
Missin' you
Listen you
...

Till you come back to me, that's what I'm gonna do

Wine Breaking Ceremony...

Ah yes, my first post on my... uhm... third or fourth blog... I'm not exactly sure. So this first post is mostly for explainations.

And I'm telling you now, I'm making this one for my own use, and not really for anybody else to read. Because eventhough the world is free to read this page anytime they want, I assure you, reading this page of mine won't benefit you in any way, and you'll just be wasting time where instead you can go outside and enjoy the world!

But unless you're main goal in life IS to waste time, then you are most welcome here. ^_^

As for the explanation, this blog's sole purpose is to store the songs that are stuck in my head, the good ones of course! (but maybe occasionally the bad ones...) so that they will no longer be stuck there. Some transfer method thing...
